Happy Veteran's Day

Hubby and I attended a wonderful Veteran's Day program this morning at granddaughter Mia's school.  The music, essays, pictures and speaker were great.  Thank you CIS and thank you Veterans also!

Most of the trees in our yard look like this.

But the Cleveland Pears (two of them) and the Bradford Pear have their brilliant colors now....Autumn is still hanging on!

Last night the Material Girl's Quilt Guild had our Christmas party.  We dined at a really nice Italian restaurant and had our gift exchange and Secret Sister reveal. This is the cute container that I gave my secret sister, Heather.  It contained earrings and a gift card.

I made these (well, not the mug) for my gift exchange.

I received this gift from my secret sister.  The mug reads To Stash or Not to Stash....that is the Question.  We all know the answer to that one!

Our trees are beginning to look bare too.
Great swap gifts. Always a fun thing to do.

How nice that the school had a Veteran's Day program! I love your colorful pear trees! I hope they are still lovely since this was posted over a week ago...and I love what you made for your gift exchange! Hope you will stop by my quilting blog again. It's been a while since I was very active, and now that my sewing room is ready (in our new home in AZ) I have started working again. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
