Feeling a little sad...

Thought I would blog about the way I am feeling right now. I actually should be in bed, but just got home from our local hospital about an hour ago. My oldest daughter that had surgery earlier this month was admitted to Medina Hospital tonight. She had been in their ER on Saturday for horrible back pain and this turned out to be a kidney stone. They sent her home with lots of pain meds and a strainer....catch the stone. Well, this never happened and her pain has gotten worse. Back to the ER tonight and now they think there are 2 stones. She was admitted and will see a urologist sometime tomorrow.
I guess my point here is that no matter how old your child is, you still feel the same pain when they are hurting and you can't do anything about it! I felt so helpless for her until they put some pain meds into her IV tonight. She says that the pain is like or worse then labor pains. I hope we will get some answers tomorrow...thank goodness she is safe tonight!

Be thinking of you, at least she is in the right place to get some help. Let's hope it can be sorted quickly

I agree. It is much harder to watch your little ones suffer. Hope she feels better soon.

Oh so heartbreaking. I was looking thru a list of blogs and yours was the one I clicked on. Guess I felt that need for prayer, so know that I am praying for your daughters health, for her Dr.s wisdom and for your peace of mind and heart as she goes thru this. I know my children are SOOOO precious to me, and when my daughter called this week to say she was sick with a cold AGAIN this Mom's heart just ached for her. We never stop loving and caring for our children...no matter how old they are!!!! Post how she is doing XXX Annie

You're right, it doesn't matter how old our children are they are still our children. Hope your daughter gets over this OK and feels better soon. Then you can get some rest too!

Mom ~ It's unique for me in the middle, as you and many others were/are for so many years. It still feels good when you have your parents love on you, but then you also have the emotions of loving on your own kids. "It's the circle ... the circle of life!"

I am so glad they admitted her. I have never experienced that, but have heard that it is very very painful. I am so glad they are giving her something to help with the pain, and hope she will get some better news real soon. My thoughts and prayers will be with you both! I know it hurts you when she hurts!
