The last weekend in July hubby and myself met up with son Steve and family in St. Louis. He came from OK and we came from OH. I found out that St. Louis has some pretty neat stuff to do and is a city I could live in. The Trolley Tour driver was very persuading about his town....a great time was had on his tour.
We saw the beautiful Busch Stadium. The old one was torn down and rebuilt in one off season to make it look old and blend in with the rest of the town....it does.
These pictures were down by the river showing how the flooding can affect and has affected its level. These are pictures of the Lewis and Clark statue that really shouldn't be underwater...what it looked like and what it should look like.
On Sunday we went to Union Station. What a gorgeous restored train station that was huge in its day. The hotel and mall around it were fun to walk through.
The Fudgery was one of the fun shops to stop by and watch (and participate) in the fudge making and the singing that went along with it.
Me and the grandsons, Jordan and Jared.
We had a good time St. Louis.....thank you! On a side note, I had big plans for hand sewing while traveling....I did work on these, but that is all. I love hexies....doing the Vignette Hexagon quilt.

Looks like a great place to visit! I've made fudge, but I never sang while I did it! LOL

Oh, your trip looks like it was a lot of fun. I can't believe the flooding.
I took stuff on my trip and didn't do a thing, but I sure did have fun.
